Tick at least one setting to roll loot.
Dungeon tier sets how rare the loot is when Rarity is Any. Pick the tier that fits the danger the heroes just survived. Choosing one rarity ignores the tier. A roll never gives the same item twice.

π§ How to Use Loot in ICRPG
In ICRPG, loot is how heroes grow. Most bonuses to attempts, Effort and Defense come from the gear a hero carries, so every chest is a real step forward. A few ways to hand it out:
- Reward milestones, not every room. Give loot when the heroes beat a boss, solve a big puzzle, or finish a goal. A dungeon level’s tier tells you how rare it should be.
- Offer a choice of three. Roll 3 items and let the party pick one. The two they leave behind make good rumors or rival treasure.
- Mind the slots. Heroes can only carry and equip so much. When a pack is full, a new find means leaving something behind, and that choice is part of the fun.
- Let players trade. A blade that suits the mage better than the warrior should change hands. Shops, fences and favors can turn spare loot into what the party needs.
- Mix settings on purpose. A sci-fi crew finding a fantasy relic, or a gunslinger finding a cursed tarot deck, makes the item feel strange and special.
- Change anything. Every item here is an example. Rename it, swap the bonus, or add a drawback so it fits your table.
Use π Browse All Loot above to look up any item, π Copy list in the results to paste a roll into your session notes, and Send to hero to add an item to a character’s Equipped or Carried Loot in the Character & Monster Cards. Monsters in the Monster Bestiary list drops by name from these tables.
