π² How It Works
- Adventure hook: who wants help, what they want, where, who stands in the way, the twist, and the reward.
- Room: a room type from Room Design, then Danger, Energy and Wonder from the D.E.W. method. The tier sets the room’s Target (one per room) and the foes, drawn from the Monster Bestiary. Some rooms have no foes at all: the room itself is the danger.
- NPC: a name (sometimes one from the 150 Names page), a role, a trait to act out, what they want, and a secret only the GM knows. β Add to my cards saves them as an NPC card in the Character & Monster Cards, and π¨οΈ Add to print sheet also queues them for printing.
- Dungeon: five rooms in one setting, from the way in to a boss room, plus someone the heroes meet along the way. Loot follows How to Use Loot: it rewards milestones, not every room, so only the vault and the boss room have a Roll 3, pick 1 button. It pops up three items with the same tier and setting (no repeats) for the party to choose one from, and you can reroll, copy or send one to a hero; Ctrl-click it to open the full Loot Generator instead. If another room turns into a hard-won fight, roll for it there.
- π Share link copies a link to exactly what you rolled (the page address updates too, so a bookmark keeps it). Anyone who opens it sees the same hook, room, NPC or dungeon. The link also records which version of the tables and the Bestiary it came from; if those have changed since, the page says so instead of quietly showing a different roll.
- π¨οΈ Print as cards prints what you rolled (hook, NPC and rooms) as 4×5 index cards, four to a sheet; print at 100% / Actual size and cut along the card edges.
- The Bestiary is mostly fantasy. For other settings, keep the numbers and reskin the foe: a goblin sneak becomes a street punk, a bog troll becomes a mutant in the sewers.
Playing solo? Pair a rolled room with the Target oracle and room check: roll the room check as you enter, and use this page when the check says something else is here.
Tick at least one setting.
- Pick your settings and tier, then roll a hook, a room, an NPC or a dungeon.
